Madam SPEAKER:

I give notice that on the next sitting day I will move that this House notes that:

1. Notes that the National Union of Students released a report indicating that 72% of students had experienced sexual harassment, sexual assault, unwelcome sexual behaviour, stalking or rape.2.

2. Notes that 94% of students who experienced sexual assault, harassment or violence didn’t report the incident and, of those who did, an overwhelming majority were dissatisfied with the outcome.

3. Notes that sexual assault victims (including university students) in some regional areas are forced to travel over 10 hours to other states for forensic examinations.

4. Demands that the Berejiklian Barilaro NSW Government deliver on the sexual assault strategy that was promised by the Minister for Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault in 2014 and that this strategy address the special needs of University and Tafe students, particularly those in residential colleges
