With 42 swimmers taking part in the meet, it was the largest and most successful team the club had ever sent to the championships. The most prominent member of the events was Charlie Potts, who broke the CVSA records for 13 years boys 200m backstroke, 100m individual medley, 100m backstroke and the 50m backstroke. Charlie Potts is a proud member of the Valley Aquatic Club. The club is greatly supported by the Maitland Aquatic Centre and its squad program, with many hours committed to the team. The result of their hard work, with the team starting training at 5am and sometimes ending at 5pm.
