Matthew Tranter

Ms JENNY AITCHISON (Maitland—Minister for Regional Transport and Roads)—I wish to acknowledge Tranter Lawyers founder and managing director Matthew Tranter who is celebrating 25 years as a solicitor. His firm is also marking 24 years in business this month. Mr Tranter's milestone was acknowledged with a certificate from the Law Society of NSW during their recent visit to the Hunter Region. After being in the industry for a short time Mr Tranter decided to go into business for himself when he and his wife Kerriann decided to start a family. The decision enabled him to choose the hours he worked so he would not miss out on his children's school events. Something that is very important to him. Family has become a core value at Tranter Lawyers. They are a family firm, where those values are conveyed to his staff, striking the perfect balance between work and home life. Tranter Lawyers' first ever employee, Kim Jones, still works for the firm as does its first employed solicitor Melissa Enright – a testament to the high standards maintained by Matthew and his team. Congratulations Matthew on your success.
