Ken Burdekin

Ms JENNY AITCHISON (Maitland—Minister for Roads, and Minister for Regional Transport)—I acknowledge the passing of much-loved East Maitland resident, Ken Burdekin. Ken generously dedicated his time and energy to supporting local youth and community sport. Ken's involvement with the East Maitland School Boys football team left a lasting impression on many of these young players. His commitment to the East Maitland Junior Rugby League club was legendary. From mornings to late game nights Ken was always there, helping behind the scenes, cheering from the sidelines and supporting one and all without seeking anything in return. Ken was a devoted family man, raising three sons with his beloved wife Sandra. Ken's His legacy lives on through their love of community and service to others. Ken will be missed both on and off the field. Rest in Peace, Ken.
