JESS KOWALSKI

Ms JENNY AITCHISON (Maitland—Minister for Regional Transport and Roads)—Maitland High School student Jess Kowalski has been named in the Top 10 for the Art of Smart Year 11 and Year 12 Trailblazer Awards. These awards recognise the achievements of year 11 and 12 students that extend beyond the academics of the HSC. Jess is a national dance champion, winning titles in tap dance and competitive jazz. She has shown remarkable resilience, balancing intensive training with schoolwork and her mother's battle with breast cancer. Jess's determination drives her to pursue a career as a pharmacist and contribute to cancer research. Jess has worked as a dance teacher, maths tutor, and currently holds a position as a school prefect. Jess's passion for dance extends to music performance and representing her school in dance troupes. Jess will now be mentored by Art of Smarts CEO to help her network for future endeavours and assistance for applications for her university admission. Congratulations to Jess on her achievement and I look forward to watching her continue to achieve in both her dance and university studies.
