Glenn from Kmart Greenhills

Ms JENNY AITCHISON (Maitland—Minister for Regional Transport and Roads)—It's not everyone who has hundreds of relative strangers turn up to their farewell. Glenn was the beloved doorman at Kmart Green Hills, previously Target, for almost 18 years and recently retired from his role. Chloe Sumner, a regular customer of the store, organised a clap out event through her mum's group Facebook page, after making the event public, the clap out quickly gained popularity. Chloe was joined by 200 people to give Glenn a send‑off to remember on Friday, May 31. The crowd stretched from Kmart all the way back to the food court. Glenn is well known to Green Hills shoppers for being kind, telling great jokes and putting a smile on the faces of younger shoppers. Chloe said Glenn is just a really nice man that's always made people laugh, is really kind and that he deserves recognition and celebration for all his years of work. Congratulations Glenn on this important and well deserved recognition of the impact you have had on so many shoppers lives. Thanks also to Chloe for organising the clap out.
