Gabrielle Holland
Ms JENNY AITCHISON (Maitland—Minister for Regional Transport and Roads)—Congratulations to Gabrielle "Gabby" Holland, who has been named Creative Arts Person of the Year for her outstanding contributions to Maitland's cultural and creative community. Gabby's passion for the arts has spanned decades, beginning at just 13 years old when she became the resident organist at her church. Since then, she has played a crucial role in shaping Maitland's performing arts scene, particularly through her long-standing involvement with the Maitland Musical Society. As a performer, director, and volunteer, Gabby has dedicated countless hours to ensuring the success of local productions. Her talents extend to music arrangement, including orchestrations for the society's 60th-anniversary concert. She has also served as Vice President of the Musical Society, offering guidance and leadership to the next generation of performers. Beyond her work in theatre, Gabby is a passionate advocate for accessibility in the arts. She has mentored young artists, taught music to children, and volunteered with all-abilities groups to ensure that creative expression is open to everyone. Maitland is incredibly fortunate to have someone of Gabby's dedication and talent enriching our artistic community. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition!
