Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Ms JENNY AITCHISON (Maitland—Minister for Roads, and Minister for Regional Transport)—Thank you to the Maitland community for joining together to raise awareness and funds during may for Domestic Violence Awareness month. Carrie's Place and Homelessness Services Inc. have joined forces with Maitland Netball Association and Maitland Junior Football Club under the campaign banner Stronger every year, united for change. This collaboration exemplifies that the Maitland community together has zero tolerance for domestic violence, supports those facing homelessness and is a safe place to play sport. This is an ongoing commitment by both community groups and sporting clubs to maintaining the profile of these issues in the Maitland area, especially during May. Together these organisations are creating safer, stronger communities, thank you for your efforts to say no to domestic violence.
