Country Musician Danny Stuckings

Ms JENNY AITCHISON (Maitland—Minister for Regional Transport and Roads)—I'd like to congratulate Maitland musician Danny Stuckings who walked away from his first talent quest with a swag of awards and a recording contract! Danny entered his first Wine Country Music Association and dominated proceedings. Danny walked out with six trophies from entering four sections, including being named overall winner. He won first place in the senior male vocal, Australian country vocal and country rock categories, second place in the country gospel senior category, best bush ballad for his Australian country performance and overall winner, which won him a contract to record a six-track album with Footloose Recording Studio. Danny is a third‑generation country musician, comes from pure Country Music stock. His pop performed as does his mum, Helen Stuckings was inducted into the Australian Country Music Stars of Fame in April as part of the 'Ebony and Ivory' singing duo with Rosie Smith. His father, Robert Threlfo is a fellow Maitland musician. Danny Stuckings still performs locally every week, but that may soon change with his growing musical status. Well done, Danny!
