Community Recognition Statement - Tony Vidray

23 March 2022

Ms JENNY AITCHISON (Maitland) (16:35):I congratulate a very valuable member of the Maitland community, Mr Tony Vidray, on achieving 40 years in the accounting profession. I also say a very deep thankyou to Tony for the support he has provided to hundreds, if not thousands, of business owners across the Hunter. I am honoured and grateful to have shared in the celebration of this significant career milestone with Tony and colleagues at The Executive Connection. It was an honour to share our experiences as CEOs through The Executive Connection, and I know from the important and insightful comments that Tony has made about the various issues raised in our group over the years that he is a thoroughly decent human being, who always gives more than he takes. His business contribution stands alone as impressive but, in the face of his contribution to community, it is outstanding. His lived experience and advocacy for Angelman syndrome has raised awareness across Australia and internationally. His positivity in the face of challenges, his commitment and his dedication show in all aspects of his life. I commend Tony for his dedication to his family, his profession and our Maitland community.
