Ms JENNY AITCHISON (Maitland) (15:36): I congratulate the tireless volunteers of the Maitland Regional Museum, which reopened on 5 February. It was a successful day for them. For the upcoming Maitland Pipes and Drums exhibition they have set up an amazing display and, together with a local apprentice, assembled a display case for the band memorabilia as they celebrate one of their significant anniversaries later in the year. As part of the exhibition there will be a band recital, which will include an afternoon tea and be by bookings only. I urge members and people who live in the Maitland electorate to consider attending the exhibition because the Maitland Pipes and Drums has been a stalwart of all community events across our city for generations.
