Ms JENNY AITCHISON (Maitland) (15:43): Until recently, Bob and Annie Dennerley's Dennerley Leather Designs, where they handcrafted unique leather goods filled with love, was located as a jewel on our levee in Maitland. The Dennerleys are passionate advocates for Maitland and The Levee precinct in particular. The Levee runs parallel to the Hunter River and provides a link between the city and the riverscape. The Dennerleys welcomed sightseers and shoppers into their handcrafted world and encouraged them to wander and support other local businesses while they were there. I acknowledge the immeasurable and generous contributions that Annie and Bob made to our community and our city, both as active participants in their own business and as passionate advocates for other businesses in the CBD, and for their generous sponsorship and support of many organisations supporting the most vulnerable people in our community. I wish them both all the best in their future endeavours and thank them for their contribution to Maitland as one of our leading businesses over the past 10 years.
