Ms JENNY AITCHISON (Maitland)—Today I congratulate the Millers Forest Progress Association on their success in being awarded a grant within the 2021 Community Building Partnership Program. This grant of $10,803 will partly fund the purchase and installation of a 13.09kw Solar Energy System comprising of panels and inverter for the Hall at Millers Forest. The project will ensure the Hall continues to be operational and sustainable for the community in an environmentally responsible way. The Hall has operated for over 110 years and provides a connection and meeting place for the community. This project modernises the Hall and enhances its ongoing sustainability both financially and environmentally. The project will also ensure the Hall has uninterruptible power supply which can be problematic in country areas. This certainty of supply will encourage the community to further utilise the Hall for functions/activities. I congratulate the Miller Forest Progress Association and thank them for the contribution they make to our community via their ongoing work to provide a sustainable resource for our citizens.
