Ms JENNY AITCHISON (Maitland)—The East Maitland branch of the Country Women's Association of NSW [CWA NSW] is fortunate to boast four ladies, all in their 90s, who have been long-time contributors and supporters of the organisation, including Mrs Mavis Henley. With her involvement totalling almost 29 years, Mavis has made an enormous contribution to the East Maitland branch including playing the National Anthem on the piano at meetings, while holding many positions, including handicraft officer. Mrs Henley also won awards, over consecutive years, for the best report at group level. She has held the role of culture officer, winning awards again at group level for her reports and activities. Mavis loves challenging others at scrabble as well as teaching them the game on friendship days. Her love of singing and poetry is a delight to all members. She always has a verse ready to recite. It is a pleasure to attend CWA when Mrs Henley is there. Congratulations Mavis and in this Centenary year of the CWA of NSW, it is a real pleasure to thank you for your enormous contribution to our community over nearly three decades!
