Ms JENNY AITCHISON (Maitland)—I congratulate Lower Hunter's Jeff Jackson on his two decades of service with the NSW Rural Fire Service [NSW RFS]. He has been an active member of the Lochinvar Brigade since March 2002. Jeff was Deputy Captain for 16 years and, in 2021, became the Senior Deputy Captain. He has attended many incidents during his time, not only bushfires but also AFAs, MVAs and assisted with flood works. One of the brigade's most reliable members, Jeff has also been present at numerous out of area deployments throughout the state and interstate. Over the years, he's assisted with many community fundraising events such as the Lovedale Long Lunch, Maitland Show and Groovin' the Moo. He is a founding member, president and walker of the Firefighters Walk for Life Charity, which has raised tens of thousands of dollars for the Cancer Council, too. Jeff's a worthy recipient of the National Medal.
