Ms JENNY AITCHISON (Maitland)—The Country Women's Association of NSW [CWA NSW] has been supporting women, children and their communities for a century. I am so pleased to recognise East Maitland Branch of the CWA's Mrs Dorothy Pryor, now in her 90s, who can boast 63 years' involvement with the organisation. Dorothy began her membership in Manilla where she held many positions at both branch and group level, attending and contributing to numerous state conferences in that time. Mrs Pryor has given so much of herself during those years, both with her time, cooking, handicraft and knowledge of international countries while writing and performing in skits. President Doris Bates recently said she was honoured to read a book Dorothy wrote, about her life on the land and how she managed to run her home as well as working. It is a tribute to her commitment to community that Dorothy always made time to contribute her friendship and work to the CWA. She is truly an inspiration to the East Maitland branch and the CWA in general.
