Chad O'Donnell's 100th First Grade Game
Ms JENNY AITCHISON (Maitland—Minister for Regional Transport and Roads)—Congratulations to Chad O'Donnell who celebrated his 100th first grade game for the Maitland Pickers last weekend. The team certainly did their part to contribute to the celebrations with a 34-12 win against Lakes United at Maitland Sportsground. Chad scored a try and delivered a typically strong performance in both attack and defence. Chad joined the club in 2020 from Western Suburbs and Pickers coach Matt Lantry said it was great to get the win in O'Donnell's milestone game. Matt commented that "Loyalty can be something that's few and far between these days as players chase a little bit more money or a better opportunity and are prepared to sacrifice relationships and experiences with the group they have been with. 100 first grade games is something pretty special and a significant milestone." Chad has signed with the team to the end of 2026 so he will probably crack the 150 as well. Congratulations.
