Bronte Peel and Maitland FC
Ms JENNY AITCHISON (Maitland—Minister for Regional Transport and Roads)—Congratulations to Bronte Peel and the Maitland FC NPLW team on their amazing season and their success at the recent Northern NSW Football Van Egmond Jennings Awards. Maitland FC striker, Bronte Peel, convincingly took out the prestigious Emily van Egmond medal. The medal is for the Player of the Year in the NPLW, and Bronte won by 16 points and was presented her medal by NSW Minister for Women Jodie Harrison MP. Bronte also won the Golden Boot award with 41 goals for the season and the Players' Player award. Maitland's keeper Annabella Thornton was awarded the Debra Carlin trophy for Goalkeeper of the Year. While Goal of the Year went to midfielder Paige Kingston-Hogg. Coach Keelan Hamilton was named Coach of the Year for the NPLW too! Maitland FC, not surprisingly but most deservingly, were named NPLW Club of the Year! A big congratulations to Thornton Redbacks Senior FC who won League One Club of the Year and the Fair Play award. Maitland's Bronte Peel, Paige Kingston-Hogg and Annabella Thornton, Keelan Hamilton as well as Brayden Crawley were also all named in the Team of the Year. Congratulations to all!
