2025 Cheerleading Worlds Success for Evolution of Dance, Rutherford

Ms JENNY AITCHISON (Maitland—Minister for Roads, and Minister for Regional Transport)—Congratulations to the Evolution of Dance Pink Panthers, the under-18 Small Coed team from Evolution of Dance studio in Rutherford. The group placed second in the International U18 Small Coed category at the 2025 Cheerleading Worlds held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando. Under the expert guidance of their dedicated coaching team, the Pink Panthers delivered a great semi-final performance earning a raw score of 136.95 with two deductions for an event score of 134.95, qualifying first. Building on this momentum, they advanced to the finals and captivated judges with an electrifying routine that garnered a raw and final score of 140.70 with zero deductions, securing a silver medal and marking the highest Worlds placement ever achieved by a Maitland-based cheer team. This remarkable success reflects the talent, teamwork and perseverance cultivated at the Evolution of Dance academy. I commend every athlete, the coach and all the family members for their commitment and for flying the Maitland flag on the international stage.
