2025 Asia Pacific Touch Youth Cup

Ms JENNY AITCHISON (Maitland—Minister for Roads, and Minister for Regional Transport)—Congratulations to three outstanding young Maitland Redback players who represented Australia with distinction at the 2025 Asia Pacific Touch Youth Cup held in Redcliff, bringing home international honours. Brandon Cox played a key role in the Australian Men's 18s team's 6–3 victory over New Zealand in the final, scoring two tries in a standout performance. His teammate, Harry Lidbury, was recognised with the coveted coaches award—an acknowledgment of his leadership, consistency, and commitment throughout the tournament. In the Mixed 20s division, Bayley Tranter helped Australia to a dominant 11–5 win over New Zealand in their final, rounding out a golden tournament for our local athletes.
