Australians woke to the very sad news this morning that the world had lost an extraordinary woman, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, ending the longest reign of a British Monarch and the first reigning monarch to visit Australia.

Her Late Majesty was much loved and very well respected by Australians and gave a remarkable lifetime of service that continued to the very end.

I offer my deepest condolences to the Royal Family during this difficult time who are mourning the death of their beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and Queen.

I am inviting members of our community to sign a condolence book at my Electorate Office from 9am Monday 12 September until 5pm on Monday 19 September.

My office is located at 2/12 Elgin Street, Maitland NSW 2320.

Condolence messages will be sent to Buckingham Palace care of the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet and archived by the Commonwealth and may be displayed at its national institutions, forming part of the lasting record of Australia’s close relationship with The Queen over many decades.

Electronic condolences can also be submitted online through the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet https://www.pmc.gov.au/condolence-form or via the Royal Family website https://www.royal.uk/

Vale Queen Elizabeth, may she rest in peace.
