The NSW Seniors Festival, which is the largest of its kind in the southern hemisphere, runs from 4 – 15 April 2018 and celebrates the important role that seniors play in our community.
Ms Aitchison said that the Awards are an opportunity for the Maitland community to recognise the diversity of talent, generosity of spirit and limitless energy of local seniors.
“Seniors make a real difference in our local communities and provide a lot of support in many areas,” Ms Aitchison said.
“These Awards allow us to recognise the significant contribution that seniors make in our community and celebrate with them their achievements.
“I am sure everyone in the Maitland electorate knows an older person who deserves to be recognised, so I encourage you to nominate them and show them how much they are appreciated for all they do”
Nominations for the 2018 NSW Seniors Local Achievement Awards are open until Monday, 2 April 2018.
